Ghost Of Tsushima Devs Looking For Staff With Stealth Experience

Sucker Punch Productions, known for their blockbuster titles like Infamous and their newest IP Ghost of Tsushima, have began advertising for new developers with experience in producing open-world stealth games.

This is the first we have heard from the studio in quite a while. Sucker Punch is looking for no less than 26 new developers, although none of these positions specifies the title of the project, with Ghost of Tsushima being the only open-world stealth game on the studio’s portfolio, it would be reasonable to speculate that a Ghost of Tsushima sequel could be in the works.

The original was greatly received and had sold eight million copies as of January 2022, which would make a sequel quite enticing for Sony to follow-up on.

The studio is looking for a technical combat designer to prototype new combat systems, a senior combat designer to develop a tight combat system and enemy design, and a senior mission designer to create a seamless story that captures the player and keeps them engaged.

It could be possible that Sucker Punch are working on an entirely new IP, though, continuing the established series is more in their interest. Many fans of Sucker Punch would like to see a return to the Infamous franchise with new tech available to the team on PlayStation 5, a reboot would be welcomed but stealth has never been a core part of that franchise.

As it stands Sony and PlayStation have a lot of balls in the air with the recently announced event where Sony will reportedly be announcing new hardware and of course supposedly nailing down a release window for God of War Ragnarok.

Sony has yet to announce a sequel to the samurai action game, but whatever Sucker Punch is working on, you can be sure it will most likely be yet another blockbuster for not only Sony but Sucker Punch as well.
